23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) establish an overdose 1 | |
24 | 24 | prevention center pilot program to (A) establish not less than four 2 | |
25 | 25 | overdose prevention centers in the state; and (B) collect and evaluate 3 | |
26 | 26 | data concerning overdose reduction, substance use disorder prevention 4 | |
27 | 27 | and substance use disorder treatment access, (2) establish a 5 | |
28 | 28 | multidisciplinary advisory committee to provide recommendations 6 | |
29 | 29 | concerning the overdose prevention center pilot program, (3) develop 7 | |
30 | 30 | and implement a public awareness and education campaign concerning 8 | |
31 | 31 | the benefits of overdose prevention centers, (4) require the Department 9 | |
32 | 32 | of Public Health to establish licensure for overdose prevention centers 10 | |
33 | 33 | in the state, and (5) require the Department of Mental Health and 11 | |
34 | 34 | Addiction Services to develop operational guidelines for overdose 12 | |
35 | 35 | prevention centers, including, but not limited to, standards for staffing, 13 | |
