1818 AN ACT CREATING A STAND -YOUR-GROUND LAW.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to adopt a stand-1
2323 your-ground policy to allow someone to use force in self-defense when 2
2424 there is reasonable belief of a threat, without an obligation to retreat 3
2525 first, but would require the person standing their ground to (1) have a 4
2626 legal right to be at the location, and (2) not be engaged in an unlawful 5
