1818 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PROPERTY TAX CAP AND AN
1919 UNFUNDED MUNICIPAL MANDATES TASK FORCE.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That (1) title 12 of the general statutes be amended to establish a 1
2424 property tax cap effective for the fiscal years commencing July 1, 2027, 2
2525 and thereafter, equal to two per cent annually or the rate of inflation as 3
2626 calculated biannually, whichever is greater, and (2) the general statutes 4
2727 be amended to establish a task force, which shall make 5
2828 recommendations concerning the repeal of unfunded municipal 6
2929 mandates not later than January 1, 2026. 7
