1919 AN ACT INCREASING LEGISLATIVE OVERSIGHT OVER THE STATE
2020 CONTRACTING STANDARDS BOARD.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That section 4e-2 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require the 1
2525 Governor to appoint a chairperson of the State Contracting Standards 2
2626 Board not later than thirty days after the occurrence of a vacancy; (2) 3
2727 provide that the most senior member of the board become the acting 4
2828 interim chairperson if no appointment is made within such period; (3) 5
2929 require legislative confirmation of the chairperson under section 4-7 of 6
3030 the general statutes; (4) require an investigation team of three members 7
3131 be created under the direction of the Chief Procurement Officer with 8
3232 access to all state agency contracting and procurement records; and (5) 9
3333 decrease the membership of the board from fourteen to eleven 10
3434 members, with one member each appointed by the president pro 11
3535 tempore of the Senate and speaker of the House of Representatives, two 12
3636 members each appointed by the majority and minority leaders of the 13
3737 House, two members each appointed by the majority and minority 14
