1818 AN ACT REQUIRING SMOKE DETECTORS IN ALL HOMES IN WHICH
1919 A PERSON IS PROVIDING HEALTH CARE OR HOSPICE CARE
2020 THROUGH A HOME HEALTH CARE AGENCY, HOSPICE AGENCY OR
2121 HOME HEALTH AIDE AGENCY.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That the general statutes be amended to require all homes in which a 1
2626 person is providing home health care or hospice care to a patient 2
2727 through a home health care agency, hospice agency or home health aide 3
2828 agency to have a working smoke detector and, if there is no working 4
2929 smoke detector in a home, to require the home health care agency, 5
3030 hospice agency or home health aide agency to negotiate with the 6
3131 homeowner to supply a working smoke detector. 7
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To ensure a safe working environment for persons providing home
3434 health care or hospice care to patients in their homes.
