AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE TO ADDRESS THE CONTAMINATION OF WELLS IN THE TOWN OF FRANKLIN. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 three hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by 4 the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for the 5 purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the town of Franklin to address a 6 well contaminated with perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances 7 that is associated with the Franklin Town Hall and wells contaminated 8 with other chemicals at the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. 9 Statement of Purpose: To provide funding to assist the town of Franklin to address the contamination of wells associated with the Franklin Town Hall and at the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department.
