1818 AN ACT REQUIRING EXPANDED FUNCTION DENTAL ASSISTANTS

2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That section 20-112a of the general statutes be amended to require 1
2626 each expanded function dental assistant, as defined in said section, who 2
2727 successfully completed an expanded function dental assistant program 3
2828 at an institution of higher education that is located in another state and 4
2929 accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American 5
3030 Dental Association, to pass a jurisprudence assessment before 6
3131 performing expanded function dental assistant functions in the state. 7
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To increase the expanded function dental assistant workforce in the
3434 state to ensure essential oral health care for state residents.
