12	19		AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE OFFICE OF THE LONG -
13	20		TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN AND AREA AGENCIES ON AGING
14	21		SERVICE NAVIGATORS.
15	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
16	23		Assembly convened:

18		-	Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2025) The sum of one hundred fifteen 1
19		-	thousand dollars is appropriated to the Department of Aging and 2
20		-	Disability Services from the General Fund, for each of the fiscal years 3
21		-	ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027, for the purpose of hiring one 4
22		-	regional ombudsman for the Office of the Long -Term Care 5
23		-	Ombudsman. 6
24		-	Sec. 2. (Effective July 1, 2025) The sum of three hundred ninety 7
25		-	thousand dollars is appropriated to the Department of Aging and 8
26		-	Disability Services from the General Fund, for each of the fiscal years 9
27		-	ending June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027, for the purpose of providing 10
28		-	funding to the five area agencies on aging described in section 17a-850 11
29		-	of the general statutes to hire one additional service navigator per area 12
30		-	agency on aging. 13
