| 23 | 23 | Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than July 1, 2026, the 1 | |
| 24 | 24 | Commissioner of Education shall develop a program for the expansion 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | of school choice in the state. In developing such program, the 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | commissioner may hold hearings and accept public comments 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | concerning such expansion of school choice. The commissioner shall 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | submit a report on such program to the joint standing committee of the 6 | |
| 29 | 29 | General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education, 7 | |
| 30 | 30 | in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. 8 | |
| 31 | 31 | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following | |
