18	19		AN ACT ALLOWING BOARD MEMBERS OF QUASI -PUBLIC
19	20		AGENCIES TO OBTAIN HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE UNDER
20	21		THE STATE EMPLOYEE PLAN.
21	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
22	23		Assembly convened:

24	25		Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2025) Any member of a board of 1
25	26		directors of any quasi-public agency whose nomination to such board is 2
26	27		confirmed by both houses of the General Assembly and who is not 3
27	28		otherwise eligible to participate in the group hospitalization and 4
28	29		medical and surgical insurance plan established pursuant to subsection 5
29	30		(a) of section 5-259 of the general statutes may elect to participate in such 6
30	31		plan. Each member who elects such coverage shall pay the same 7
31	32		percentage of the premium as paid by a state employee for the form of 8
32	33		coverage. The quasi-public agency of such member of a board of 9
33	34		directors shall reimburse the appropriate state agency for the remainder 10
34	35		of the premium and any other costs incurred due to such member's 11
35	36		participation. For the purposes of this section, "quasi-public agency" has 12
