1019 AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR
1120 PARTICIPATION IN BROWNFIELD PROGRAMS FOR CERTAIN

1322 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1423 Assembly convened:

1625 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Economic and 1
1726 Community Development shall conduct a study concerning the 2
1827 feasibility and potential benefits of expanding the eligibility 3
1928 requirements for participation in brownfield programs in the state, 4
2029 including, but not limited to, the abandoned brownfield cleanup 5
2130 program established pursuant to section 32-768 of the general statutes 6
22-and the brownfield remediation and revitalization program established 7
31+or the brownfield remediation and revitalization program established 7
2332 pursuant to section 32-769 of the general statutes, to municipalities that 8
2433 have established or created a source of pollution at or on a property, 9
2534 provided any such municipality has not established or created any 10
2635 additional pollution at or on such property for a period of not less than 11
2736 ten years. Not later than February 1, 2026, the commissioner shall 12
2837 submit a report on the results of such study to the joint standing 13
2938 committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 14
3039 relating to commerce, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 15
