20- BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That, this
21-act may be cited as the “Closing of a Public Alley in Square 3701, S.O. 23-06220, Act of 2024”.

23- Sec. 2. (a) Pursuant to section 404 of the Home Rule Act (D.C. Official Code § 1-
24-204.04), and consistent with the Street and Alley Closing and Acquisition Procedures Act of
25-1982, effective March 10, 1983 (D.C. Law 4-201; D.C. Official Code § 9-201.01 et seq.), the
26-Council finds that a portion of the public alley system in Square 3701, as shown on the
27-Surveyor’s plat filed under S.O. 23-06220, is unnecessary for alley purposes and orders it closed
28-with title to the land to vest as shown on the Surveyor’s plat.
29- (b) The ordering of this alley closing is contingent upon the property owner receiving the
30-requisite public space approvals for parking and loading access prior to the recordation of the
31-plat by the Surveyor.

33-Sec. 3. Fiscal impact statement.
34- The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement in the committee report as the fiscal
35-impact statement required by section 4a of the General Legislative Procedures Act of 1975,
36-approved October 16, 2006 (120 Stat. 2038; D.C. Official Code § 1-301.47a).

38- Sec. 4. Effective date.
39- This act shall take effect following approval by the Mayor (or in the event of veto by the
40-Mayor, action by the Council to override the veto) and a 30-day period of congressional review
