Government Accountability Establishment and Comprehensive Ethics Reform Amendment Act of
2011, effective April 27, 2012 (D.C. Law 19-124; D.C. Official Code § 1-1162.03), I am pleased to

20 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
21 resolution may be cited as the "District of Columbia Board of Ethics and Government
22 Accountability Melissa Tucker Confirmation Resolution of 2022".

24 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

32 of the Board of Ethics and Government Accountability Establishment and Comprehensive Ethics

34 Code § 1-1162.02), for a term to end July 1, 2028.
35 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution,
36 upon its adoption, to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.

Melissa Tucker
Melissa Tucker is an Attorney Advisor of the Office of Congressional
Affairs under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,
Office of Inspector General (OIG).
Ms. Tucker advises Congress about proposed legislation and
responds to Congressional inquiries regarding OIG audits,
evaluations, and investigations. Prior to her time with the OIG, Ms.
Tucker was an Associate Director with the Mayor's Office of Legal
Counsel. She oversaw the analysis and determination of all Freedom
of Information Act appeals submitted to the Mayor, while ensuring
transparency. Ms. Tucker has also served as an attorney advisor with
the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, assistant general counsel with
the Council of the District of Columbia, and as an assistant city solicitor and municipal integrity
officer with the City of Providence Department of Law in Rhode Island. During Ms. Tucker's
time with DC Council, she assisted with developing the Council's first Code of Official Conduct,
and she advised Council members and staff regarding compliance with ethic laws.
A Ward 3 resident, Ms. Tucker received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania
and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Tucker is admitted to the bar in
District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
