IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To confirm the appointment of Mr. Richard Jackson as the Director of the Department of Energy
and Environment.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Director of the Department of Energy and the Environment
Richard Jackson Confirmation Resolution of 2023”.
Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:
Mr. Richard Jackson
Vantage Point Road
Columbia, MD 21044
as the Director of the Department of Energy and Environment, established by section 103(a) of
the District Department of the Environment Establishment Act of 2005, effective February 15,
2006 (D.C. Law 16-51; D.C. Official Code 8-151.03(a)), to serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.
Sec. 3. The Council shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, to the
nominee and to the Mayor.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
