106106 The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) is an independent federal agency that promotes the
107107 preservation, enhancement, and sustainable use of our nation’s diverse historic resources, and advises the
108108 President and the Congress on national historic preservation policy. In my role as Program Analyst and
109109 Liaison to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), I provide expert technical advice and consultation
110110 assistance for the implementation of the BLM's cultural resource management program, ensuring the agency
111111 meets its statutory and regulatory responsibilities under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
112112 (NHPA), and in support of its multiple use and sustained yield mandate. Responsibilities include:
113113 •Serve as subject matter expert and primary ACHP contact to advise BLM staff on compliance with
114114 Section 106 of the NHPA and its implementing regulations, 36 CFR Part 800, to ensure the BLM i
