A RESOLUTION

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve multiyear Contract
No. CW118505 with Intergraph Corporation d/b/a Hexagon Corporation to maintain and
support the mission- critical Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for the Office of
Unified Communications, and to authorize payment for the goods and services received
and to be received under the contract.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the “Multiyear Contract No. CW 118505 with Intergraph Corporation
d/b/a Hexagon Corporation Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2024”.
Sec. 2. (a) There exists an immediate need to approve multiyear Contract No. CW118505
with Intergraph Corporation d/b/a Hexagon Corporation to maintain and support the mission-
critical Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for the Office of Unified Communications, and to authorize payment for the goods and services received and to be received under the contract .
(b) Under section 451 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December
24, 1973 (87 Stat. 803; D.C. Official Code § 1- 204.51), Council approval is necessary as the
value of the contract is more than $1 million during a 12- month period.
(c) These critical services can only be obtained through an award of a multiyear contract
with Intergraph Corporation d/b/a Hexagon Corporation.
(d) Approval is necessary to allow the District to receive the benefit of these vital
services in a timely manner.
Sec 3. The Council determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute
emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Multiyear Contract No. CW118505 with
Intergraph Corporation d/b/a Hexagon Corporation Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Act of 2024 be adopted after a single reading.
Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
