2626 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

2828 Section 1. Paragraph (g) of subsection (1) of section 15
2929 501.2041, Florida Statutes, is amended to r ead: 16
3030 501.2041 Unlawful acts and practices by social media 17

3232 (1) As used in this section, the term: 19
3333 (g) "Social media platform" means any information service, 20
3434 system, Internet search engine, or access software provider 21

3636 1. Provides or enables computer access by multiple users 23
3737 to a computer server, including an Internet platform or a social 24

5151 2. Operates as a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited 26

9494 (1) As used in this section, the term: 57
9595 (f) "Person" means a natural person or an entity organized 58
9696 under the laws of any state or of the United States which 59
9797 operates as a social media platform, as d efined in s. 501.2041, 60
9898 with the legal power to enter into a binding contract and which 61
9999 bids or applies to bid on contracts let by a public entity, or 62
100100 which otherwise transacts or applies to transact business with a 63
101101 public entity. The term includes those of ficers, directors, 64
102102 executives, partners, shareholders, employees, members, and 65
103103 agents who are active in the management of an entity. 66
104104 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 67
