2626 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

2828 Section 1. Section 125.488, Florida Statutes, is created 15
2929 to read: 16
3030 125.488 Ordinances, regulations, a nd policies concerning 17
3131 temporary underground power panels. — 18
3232 (1) A county may not enact any ordinance, regulation, or 19
3333 policy that prevents or has the effect of preventing an electric 20
3434 utility, as defined in s. 366.02(2), from installing a temporary 21
3535 underground power panel if the temporary underground power panel 22
3636 meets the requirements of Article 590 of the National Electrical 23
3737 Code, 2020 edition, during the construction and installation of 24
3838 the temporary underground power panel. After the county has 25

5555 (2) As used in this section, the term "tempor ary 30
5656 underground power panel" means a permanent meter base that 31
5757 includes a meter socket, meter, and downpipe, to which power is 32
5858 provided through an underground service line by an electric 33
5959 utility pursuant to its tariffs or service standards, that is 34
6060 permanently attached to a block residential structure, provides 35
6161 temporary power for construction of the residential structure, 36
6262 and is intended for use in providing permanent service to the 37
6363 residential structure upon issuance of the Certificate of 38

6565 Section 2. Section 166.0484, Florida Statutes, is created 40
