2121 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

2323 Section 1. Subsections (6), (7), and (8) of section 10
2424 595.405, Florida Statutes, are re numbered as subsections (7), 11
2525 (8), and (9), respectively, and a new subsection (6) is added to 12
2626 that section to read: 13
2727 595.405 School nutrition program requirements. — 14
2828 (6) To eliminate the copayment for reduced -price breakfast 15
2929 meals, the department shall r eimburse sponsors the greater of 30 16
3030 cents or the difference between the federal School Breakfast 17
3131 Program free breakfast and reduced -price breakfast reimbursement 18
3232 rates for each breakfast meal that meets the requirements of 19
3333 federal law and department rules and is served to a student who 20
3434 qualifies for reduced -price meals. 21
3535 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 22
