Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

Section 1. Section 3 of section 3 of chapter 2005 -351, 9
Laws of Florida, is amended to read: 10
Section 3. There is created in Franklin County a special 11
taxing district to be known as Alligator Point Water Resources 12
District. The district shall include all that portion of 13
Alligator Point in said county described as follows: 14

Fractional sections 4, 5, 6 and 7 in Township 7, 16
South, Range 1 West and fractional se ction 1, 2, 3 and 17
12 in Township 7 South, Range 2 West. 18

Section 2. Referendum.—The Supervisor of Elections for 981
Franklin County shall conduct a referendum on November 8, 2022, 982
at the 2022 General Election of those qualified electors within 983
the areas proposed to be added to the Alligator Point Water 984
Resources District as de scribed in section 1 of this act, in 985
accordance with the Florida Election Code, on the question of 986
whether the Alligator Point Water Resources District is 987
authorized to provide all services and exercise all powers and 988
authority as provided under its charte r within the areas 989
described in section 1 of this act, including levying ad valorem 990
taxes at a rate not to exceed 5 mills. 991
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon its approval by 992
a majority vote of those qualified electors within the areas 993
proposed to be added to the Alligator Point Water Resources 994
District as described in section 1 of this act voting in a 995
referendum held pursuant to this act on the referendum question 996
in section 2, except that this section and section 2 of this act 997
shall take effect upon becoming a law. 998
