21	21	WHEREAS, Norooz marks the traditional Persian New Year, 8
22	22	which has been celebrated for more than 3,000 years and dates 9
23	23	back to ancient Persia, and 10
24	24	WHEREAS, Norooz or "New Day" marks the arrival of spring 11
25	25	and is celebrated on the vernal equinox, and 12
26	26	WHEREAS, the creation of a Haft -seen table, a symbolic 13
27	27	spread of seven elements representing patience, love, fertility, 14
28	28	rebirth, protection, and affluence, is an important part of the 15
29	29	Norooz tradition, and 16
30	30	WHEREAS, a form of the vernal equinox celebration commonly 17
31	31	known as Norooz is celebrated by hundreds of millions of 18
32	32	Iranians and other peoples all over the world, including as 19
33	33	Novruz in Azerbaijan, Navruz in Uzbekistan, and Nowruz in 20
34	34	Afghanistan, as well as in the United States and other countries 21
35	35	in Central Asia, South Asia, Caucasus, Crimea, and Balkan 22

53	53	made a lasting impact on the social and economic fabric of 28

59	59	it harkens the departure from the trials and tribulations of the 34
