14	14	unwavering support for the State of Israel and Jewish 3
15	15	citizens in Florida and condemning Hamas and anti -4

18	18	WHEREAS, beginning on October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked the 7
19	19	State of Israel, indiscriminately raping, torturing, and killing 8
20	20	over 1,400 innocent persons, including Israelis, Americans, and 9
21	21	other nationals, among whom were babies and Holocaust survivors, 10
22	22	and taking 240 Israelis, Americans, and other civilians as 11
23	23	hostages, and 12
24	24	WHEREAS, since October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists and their 13
25	25	allies have launched over 7,400 rockets into southern and 14
26	26	central Israel, the sole goal of which was to kill Israeli 15
27	27	civilians, and 16
28	28	WHEREAS, Hamas and Iranian leadership have called for the 17
29	29	extermination of Israelis, Americans, Jews, and Christians 18
30	30	around the world and the establishment of a global Islamic 19
31	31	caliphate, and 20
32	32	WHEREAS, the stated goal of Hamas and its allies is the 21
33	33	complete and total destruction of the State of Israel and the 22
34	34	Jewish people, and 23
35	35	WHEREAS, the State of Florida recognizes the right and 24
36	36	obligation of the State of Israel to defend itself and to exist 25 

50	50	WHEREAS, the State of Florida prays for the people of the 29
51	51	State of Israel and all those in the world who care for the 30
52	52	State of Israel, as Israel has formally declared war agains t 31
53	53	Hamas following this heinous and unprecedented attack, and 32
54	54	WHEREAS, across the world, there has been an explosive rise 33
55	55	in virulent anti-Semitism and violence against Jewish people, 34
56	56	including in Florida and across the United States of America, 35
57	57	and 36
58	58	WHEREAS, student organizations on college and university 37
59	59	campuses are hosting and participating in demonstrations against 38
60	60	the State of Israel, expressing support for the terrorist 39
61	61	actions of Hamas, and increasing the usage of anti -Semitic 40
62	62	rhetoric, including ca lling for violence against all Jewish 41
63	63	people in Florida, and 42
64	64	WHEREAS, the rise in anti -Semitic demonstrations on college 43
65	65	campuses, near houses of worship, and public demonstrations 44
66	66	across the state and across the United States has created a 45
67	67	frightening environment for Jewish students, Jewish families, 46
68	68	and Jewish people across the nation, and 47
69	69	WHEREAS, anti-Semitic protesters have increased hateful 48
70	70	displays, using swastikas and calls for violence against Jewish 49 

83	83	WHEREAS, the rise in antisemitic rhetoric has gone beyond 52
84	84	campus protests and even into the halls of the United States 53
85	85	Congress, where some elected officials, by votes and through 54
86	86	their own words, have opposed supporting our greatest ally, the 55
87	87	State of Israel, NOW, THEREFORE, 56

89	89	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of 58

92	92	That the Florida House of Representatives condemns the 61
93	93	unprovoked, barbaric attack by Hamas against the State of Israel 62
94	94	and its citizens and supports Israel's right to defend itself 63
95	95	and protect its citizens from indiscriminate violence and 64
96	96	terrorism by eliminating Hamas without ceasefire or pause. 65
97	97	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Florida House of Repr esentatives 66
98	98	stands in solidarity with its ally, the State of Israel, the 67
99	99	Israeli people, and Jewish citizens across the State of Florida 68
100	100	and the United States of America. 69
101	101	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Florida House of 70
102	102	Representatives condemns proliferat ion of anti-Semitic rhetoric 71
103	103	and public displays, which create unsafe learning and working 72
104	104	environments for Jewish citizens, whether in Congress or on 73

117	117	Representatives mourns the loss of li fe suffered by Israelis, 76
118	118	Americans, and other nationals injured or killed in Hamas' 77
119	119	unprovoked and barbaric attack on the State of Israel. 78
120	120	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Florida House of 79
121	121	Representatives demands the United States Government end all 80
122	122	financial support, whether directly or indirectly, to 81
123	123	Palestinian and Iranian affiliated organizations. 82
124	124	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, with 83
125	125	the Seal of the Florida House of Representatives affixed, be 84
126	126	presented to the President of the Un ited States, each member of 85
127	127	the Florida delegation to the United States Congress, and the 86
128	128	Ambassador of the State of Israel to the United States as a 87
129	129	testament to the enduring partnership between our states and the 88
130	130	unwavering support of the State of Florid a for the State of 89
