2323 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

2525 Section 1. Subsections (4) and (5) of section 316.081, 12
2626 Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (5) and (6), 13
2727 respectively, a new subsection (4) is added to that section, and 14
2828 present subsection (5) of that section is republished, to read: 15
2929 316.081 Driving on right side of roadway; exceptions. — 16
3030 (4) On a road, street, or highway having two or more lanes 17
3131 allowing movement in the same direction with a posted speed 18
32-limit of at least 65 miles per hour, a driver may not operate a 19
33-motor vehicle in the furthermost left -hand lane, except when 20
34-overtaking and passing another vehicle, when preparing to exit 21
35-the road, street, or highway, or when otherwise directed by an 22
36-official traffic control device. As used in this subsection, the 23
37-term "furthermost left-hand lane" means the farthest most left -24
38-hand lane, except that, if such left -hand lane is a high-25
32+limit of at least 65 miles per hour, a driver may not 19
33+continuously operate a motor vehicle in the furthermost left-20
34+hand lane, except when overtaking and passing another vehicle, 21
35+when preparing to exit the road, street, or highway, or when 22

51-occupancy-vehicle lane as defined in s. 316.0741 or is a 26
52-designated left-hand turn lane, the furthermost left -hand lane 27
