termination or re-creation of the trust fund; 7

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

Section 1. Section 787.062, Florida Statutes, is created 12
to read: 13
787.062 Trust Fund for Victims of Human Trafficking. — 14
(1) The Trust Fund for Victims of Human Trafficking is 15
created within the Department of Legal Affairs. 16
(2) The trust fund shall consist of funds obtained under 17
s. 787.06 from penalties imposed by the courts and funds 18
received from any other source, including legislative 19
appropriations. 20
(3) The trust fund shall use its funds for the purposes 21
specified in s. 787.063. 22
(4) In accordance with s. 19( f)(2), Art. III of the State 23
Constitution, the Trust Fund for Victims of Human Trafficking 24
shall, unless terminated sooner, be terminated on July 1, 2027. 25

Before its scheduled termination, the trust fund shall be 26
reviewed as provided in s. 215.3206(1) and (2). 27
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 28
