specified date; providing a limitation on additional 5
retailer compensation; providing an effective date. 6

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

Section 1. Paragraph (i) of subsection (9) of section 10
24.105, Florida Statutes, as amended by chapter 2022-157, Laws 11
of Florida, is amended to read: 12
24.105 Powers and duties of department. —The department 13
shall: 14
(9) Adopt rules governing the establishment and operation 15
of the state lottery, including: 16
(i) The manner and amount of compensation of retailers. 17
However, effective July 1, 2023, the commission for Florida 18
Lottery ticket sales shall be 6 percent of the purchase price of 19
each ticket sold or issued as a prize by the retailer. Any 20
additional retailer compensation is limited to the Florid a 21
Lottery Retailer Bonus Commission program appropriated annually 22
in the General Appropriations Act or any other specific 23
compensation appropriated by the act. 24
Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023. 25
