2323 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10

2525 Section 1. Findings of fact.—The Legislature finds that 12
2626 the School Board of Hernando County adopted a resolution to 13
2727 change the position of the Hernando County Superintendent of 14
2828 Schools from an elected position to an appointed position and 15
2929 that such resolution was approved by the electorate during the 16
3030 March 10, 1992, presidential preference primary. 17
3131 Section 2. Repeal of resolution. —Pursuant to Section 5, 18
3232 Article IX of the State Constitution, the resolution described 19
3333 in section 1 is repealed. The Hernando County Superintendent of 20
3434 Schools shall be elected in a partisan election to a term of 4 21
3535 years by vote of the qualified electors residing in Hernando 22
3636 County, beginning with the general election in 2028. 23
3737 Section 3. Referendum election. — 24
3838 (1) As required by Section 5, Article IX of the State 25
