2727 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 14

2929 Section 1. Section 20.507, Florida Statutes, is created to 16

3131 20.507 Opioid Settlement Trust Fund. — 18
3232 (1) The Opioid Settlement Trust Fund is created within the 19
3333 Department of Children and Families for the purpose of funding 20
3434 programs and services that prevent and treat substance use 21
3535 disorders and mental health conditions, support addiction 22
3636 recovery, and implement opioid abatement strategies. 23
3737 (2) In accordance with s. 19(f)(2), Art. III of the State 24
3838 Constitution, the Opioid Settlement Trust Fund shall, unless 25

5757 The following trust funds shall be administered by the 32

5959 (11) Opioid Settlement Trust Fund. 34
6060 (a) Funds to be credited in the trust fund shall consist 35
6161 of funds disbursed, by nonoperating transfer, from the 36
6262 Department of Financial Services Opioid Settlement Clearing 37
6363 Trust Fund in amounts equal to the appropriations made from this 38
6464 trust fund. Funds deposited into the trust fund are exempt from 39
6565 the service charges imposed under s. 215.20. 40
6666 (b) Notwithstanding the provis ions of s. 216.301 and 41
6767 pursuant to s. 216.351, any unencumbered balance remaining 42
6868 undisbursed on September 30 of the same calendar year shall 43
6969 revert to the Department of Financial Services Opioid Settlement 44
7070 Clearing Trust Fund. 45
