An act relating to specialty license plates; amending 2 
s. 320.08058, F.S.; directing the Department of 3 
Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to develop a United 4 
Service Organizations (USO) license plate; providing 5 
for distribution and use of fees collected from the 6 
sale of the plate; providing an effective date. 7 
 8 
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 
 10 
 Section 1.  Subsection (127) is adde d to section 320.08058, 11 
Florida Statutes, to read: 12 
 320.08058  Specialty license plates. — 13 
 (127)  UNITED SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS (USO) LICENSE PLATES. — 14 
 (a)  The department shall develop a United Service 15 
Organizations (USO) license plate as provided in this section 16 
and s. 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design 17 
approved by the department. The word "Florida" must appear at 18 
the top of the plate, and the acronym "USO" must appear at the 19 
bottom of the plate. 20 
 (b)  The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall 21 
be distributed to USO Florida, Inc., a nonprofit corporation 22 
under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, which may use 23 
up to 10 percent of the fees for administrative costs and 24 
marketing of the plate. USO Florida, Inc., shall distribu te the 25

remainder of the fees equally among its ten locations in this 26 
state to be used to promote the USO's mission of supporting 27 
members of the United States Armed Forces and their families 28 
through its various programs, services, and events. 29 
 Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 2024. 30
