2424 Section 1. Subsection (127) is added to secti on 320.08058, 11
2525 Florida Statutes, to read: 12
2626 320.08058 Specialty license plates. — 13
2727 (127) CLEARWATER MARINE AQUARIUM LICENSE PLATES. — 14
2828 (a) The department shall develop a Clearwater Marine 15
2929 Aquarium license plate as provided in this section and s. 16
3030 320.08053. The plate must bear the colors and design approved by 17
3131 the department. The word "Florida" must appear at the top of the 18
3232 plate, and the words "Clearwater Marine Aquarium" must appear at 19
3333 the bottom of the plate. 20
3434 (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall 21
3535 be distributed to Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Inc., a Florida 22
3636 nonprofit corporation under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue 23
3737 Code, which may use up to 10 percent of the fees for the 24
3838 administration, promotion, and marketing of the plate. The 25

5151 remaining fees must be used by Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Inc., 26
5252 to fund its efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and release marine 27
5353 life; provide environmental education; conduct research; and 28

5555 Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2024. 30
