amending s. 215.47, F.S.; authorizing the State Board 3
of Administration and its affiliated limited liability 4
entities to issue securities and borrow money through 5
specified means, subject to specified limitations; 6
providing an effective date. 7

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

Section 1. Subsection (22) is added to section 215.47, 11
Florida Statutes, to read: 12
215.47 Investments; authorized securities; loan of 13
securities.—Subject to the limitations and conditions of the 14
State Constitution or of the trust agreement relating to a trust 15
fund, moneys available for investments under ss. 215.44 -215.53 16
may be invested as follows: 17
(22) With no more than 5 percent of any fund, the State 18
Board of Administration or its affiliated limited liability 19
entities may issue securities and borro w money through loans or 20
other financial obligations, including bonds, equity securities, 21
and other security instruments, any of which may be unsecured; 22
secured by alternative investments, as defined in s. 23
215.4401(3)(a), or related cash flows; guaranteed by the related 24
fund; or governed by financial covenants. 25

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. 26
