28 | 28 | | Section 1. Section 1001.2921, Florida Statutes, is created 15 |

34 | 34 | | of Education shall establish a program to provide funds to make 21 |

35 | 35 | | full-time Jewish day schools and preschools in the state secure 22 |
---|
36 | 36 | | with professional security hardening, as needed, to better 23 |
---|
37 | 37 | | secure facilities of such schools and preschools and to protect 24 |
---|
38 | 38 | | their students. Based on a risk assessment by law enforcement or 25 |
---|

---|
57 | 57 | | licensed and regulated by the state and in sured. 32 |

58 | 58 | | (c) Expenses relating to transportation to minimize 33 |

59 | 59 | | security exposure of staff, parents, and students. 34 |
---|
60 | 60 | | (d) Other nonhardening security measures, including, but 35 |
---|
61 | 61 | | not limited to providing professional detection, prevention, and 36 |
---|
62 | 62 | | security services to such schools and preschools. 37 |

63 | 63 | | (2) The State Board of Education may adopt rules to 38 |
---|
64 | 64 | | administer this section. 39 |

65 | 65 | | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024. 40 |
