2020 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 7

2222 Section 1. Section 947.28, Florida Statutes, is created to 9
2323 read: 10
2424 947.28 Parole reinstatement for certain nonviolent felony 11
2525 offenders.— 12
2626 (1) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, parole is 13
2727 reinstated in this state for an offender who solely committed 14
2828 one or more nonviolent felony of the second degree offenses or 15
2929 nonviolent felony of the third degree offenses, including, but 16
3030 not limited to: 17
3131 (a) Drug possession. 18
3232 (b) Theft, grand theft, or larceny. 19
3333 (c) Possession of or trafficking of cannabis as defined in 20
3434 s. 893.02. 21
3535 (d) Burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, structure, or 22
3636 conveyance, and he or she was unarmed. 23
3737 (2) Subsection (1) does not app ly to: 24
3838 (a) A person who has been convicted of committing, or 25
