26 | 26 | | Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 947.165, Florida 13 |

28 | 28 | | 947.165 Objective parole guidelines. — 15 |
---|
29 | 29 | | (2) At least once a year, the commission shall review the 16 |
---|
30 | 30 | | objective parole guidelines and make any revisions considered 17 |
---|
31 | 31 | | necessary by virtue of statistical analysis of commission 18 |
---|
32 | 32 | | actions, which analysis uses acceptable research and 19 |
---|
33 | 33 | | methodology. Upon completion of the review, the commission must 20 |
---|
34 | 34 | | provide the statistical analysis to the President of the Senate 21 |
---|
35 | 35 | | and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. 22 |

36 | 36 | | Section 2. Subsection (3) of section 947.174, Florida 23 |

57 | 57 | | inmate's use of vocational training, substance abuse treatment, 32 |
---|
58 | 58 | | and educational and other self -betterment programs. The 33 |
---|
59 | 59 | | commission must review such information in determining whether 34 |
---|
60 | 60 | | to modify an inmate's pre sumptive parole release date . 35 |

61 | 61 | | Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 36 |
