21	21	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

23	23	Section 1. Paragraphs (b) and (c) of subsection (7) of 10
24	24	section 627.748, Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 11
25	25	627.748 Transportation network companies. — 12
26	26	(7) TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANY AND TNC DRIVER 13
27	27	INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS. — 14
28	28	(b) The following automo bile insurance requirements apply 15
29	29	while a participating TNC driver is logged on to the digital 16
30	30	network but is not engaged in a prearranged ride or while a 17
31	31	participating TNC driver is engaged in a prearranged ride but a 18
32	32	rider does not occupy the TNC vehicle : 19
33	33	1. Automobile insurance that provides: 20
34	34	a. A primary automobile liability coverage of at least 21
35	35	$50,000 for death and bodily injury per person, $100,000 for 22
36	36	death and bodily injury per incident, and $25,000 for property 23
37	37	damage; 24
38	38	b. Personal injury pro tection benefits that meet the 25

51	51	minimum coverage amounts required under ss. 627.730 -627.7405; 26

53	53	c. Uninsured and underinsured vehicle coverage as required 28
54	54	by s. 627.727. 29
55	55	2. The coverage requirements of this paragraph may be 30
56	56	satisfied by any of the fol lowing: 31
57	57	a. Automobile insurance maintained by the TNC driver or 32
58	58	the TNC vehicle owner; 33
59	59	b. Automobile insurance maintained by the TNC; or 34
60	60	c. A combination of sub -subparagraphs a. and b. 35
61	61	(c) The following automobile insurance requirements apply 36
62	62	while a TNC driver is engaged in a prearranged ride and a rider 37
63	63	occupies the TNC vehicle : 38
64	64	1. Automobile insurance that provides: 39
65	65	a. A primary automobile liability coverage of at least $1 40
66	66	million for death, bodily injury, and property damage; 41
67	67	b. Personal injury protection benefits that meet the 42
68	68	minimum coverage amounts required of a limousine under ss. 43
69	69	627.730-627.7405; and 44
70	70	c. Uninsured and underinsured vehicle coverage as required 45
71	71	by s. 627.727. 46
72	72	2. The coverage requirements of this paragraph may be 47
73	73	satisfied by any of the following: 48
74	74	a. Automobile insurance maintained by the TNC driver or 49
75	75	the TNC vehicle owner; 50

90	90	Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 53
