Subsection (12) is added to section 1006.07, 19 Florida Statutes, to read: 20 1006.07 District school board duties relating to student 21 discipline and school safety. —The district school board shall 22 provide for the proper accounting for all students, for the 23 attendance and control of students at school, and for proper 24 attention to health, safety, and other matters relating to the 25 CS/HB 1197 2025 CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb1197-01-c1 Page 2 of 2 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S welfare of students, including: 26 (12) ANAPHYLAXIS POLICY. — 27 (a) Each district school board shall ensure that for a 28 student with an emergency action plan, his or her emergency 29 action plan is effective at all times when he or she is on 30 campus, including during extracurricul ar activities, athletics, 31 school dances, and contracted before -school and after-school 32 programs at his or her school. Each district school board shall 33 ensure that each school within the district has provided 34 training to school personnel on preventing and r esponding to an 35 allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis, and that each before -36 school and after-school program at a school within the district 37 has provided such training to its employees and contracted 38 personnel. At least one member of the school personnel with such 39 training must be on school grounds to execute a student's 40 emergency action plan. The requirements for such training must 41 include training in the administration of emergency epinephrine, 42 including epinephrine autoinjectors and epinephrine nasal 43 sprays. 44 (b) The State Board of Education may adopt rules to 45 administer this subsection, including identifying an approved 46 training curriculum for the training required under this 47 subsection. 48 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 49
