2121 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8

2323 Section 1. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (2) of 10
2424 section 732.108, Florida Statutes, to read: 11
2525 732.108 Adopted persons and persons born out of wedlock. — 12
2626 (2) For the purpose of intestate succession in cases not 13
2727 covered by subsection (1), a person born out of wedlock is a 14
2828 descendant of his or her mother and is one of the natural 15
2929 kindred of all membe rs of the mother's family. The person is 16
3030 also a descendant of his or her father and is one of the natural 17
3131 kindred of all members of the father's family, if: 18
3232 (d) The person is not a resident of this state or is not a 19
3333 citizen of the United States and has b een named a legal heir by 20
3434 a court in this state or the foreign country in which he or she 21
3535 resides. 22
3636 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025. 23
