An act relating to a review under the Open Government 2 
Sunset Review Act; amending s. 559.952, F.S., which 3 
provides an exemption from public record requirements 4 
for certain information held by the Office of 5 
Financial Regulation in Financial Technology Sandbox 6 
applications; removing the scheduled repeal of the 7 
exemption; providing an effective date. 8 
 9 
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 10 
 11 
 Section 1.  Paragraph (h) of subsection (5) of section 12 
559.952, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 13 
 559.952  Financial Technology Sandbox. — 14 
 (5)  FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY SANDBOX APPLICATION; STANDARDS 15 
FOR APPROVAL.— 16 
 (h)1. The following information provi ded to and held by 17 
the office in a Financial Technology Sandbox application under 18 
this subsection is confidential and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and 19 
s. 24(a), Art. I of the State Constitution: 20 
 1.a. The reasons why a general law enumerated in paragraph 21 
(4)(a) prevents the innovative financial product or service from 22 
being made available to consumers. 23 
 2.b. The information provided for evaluation of the 24 
factors specified in subparagraphs (c)1. and 3. 25

 3.c. The information provided for evaluation of whether 26 
the applicant has a sufficient plan to test, monitor, and assess 27 
the innovative financial product or service, under subparagraph 28 
(c)4. 29

However, the confidential and exempt information may be released 31 
to appropriate state and federal agencies for the purpo ses of 32 
investigation. Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to 33 
prevent the office from disclosing a summary of the innovative 34 
financial product or service. 35 
 2.  This paragraph is subject to the Open Government Sunset 36 
Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15 and shall stand repealed 37 
on October 2, 2025, unless reviewed and saved from repeal 38 
through reenactment by the Legislature. 39 
 Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 2025. 40
