| 10 | 10 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that, unless otherwise3 |

| 11 | 11 | | provided by subsequent resolution of the General Assembly, the General Assembly shall4 |

| 12 | 12 | | adjourn at the close of the legislative day on Friday, December 1, 2023, and shall reconvene5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | on Monday, December 4, 2023.6 |

| 14 | 14 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on and after Monday, December 4, 2023, the periods7 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | of adjournment of the 2023 special session, if any, shall be as specified by subsequent8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | resolution of the General Assembly; provided, however, that unless otherwise specified by9 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | subsequent resolution, the General Assembly shall be in adjournment on each Saturday and10 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Sunday.11 |

| 19 | 19 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the meetings of the General Assembly shall be held as12 |

| 20 | 20 | | prescribed in Code Section 28-1-2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, except as13 |

| 21 | 21 | | otherwise provided by this resolution. The hours for convening and adjourning the House14 |
|---|

| 31 | 31 | | from manmade or natural causes or enemy attack, it becomes imprudent, inexpedient, or21 |

| 32 | 32 | | impossible to conduct the affairs of the General Assembly at the State Capitol in Atlanta,22 |

| 33 | 33 | | Fulton County, and the Governor has by proclamation declared an emergency temporary23 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | location or locations for the seat of government in accordance with Code Section 38-3-52,24 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate may, by joint25 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | agreement, order the discontinuation of the schedule for meetings provided by this resolution26 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | and provide for reconvening the House and the Senate at such temporary location or27 |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | locations in accordance with Code Sections 38-3-52 and 38-3-53 on such date and at such28 |

| 39 | 39 | | time as they deem practical.29 |

| 40 | 40 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that whenever, due to an emergency or disaster, resulting30 |

|---|
| 56 | 56 | | respectively, by such means as such officers deem practical and efficient; and each house43 |

| 57 | 57 | | shall be and remain in adjournment until convening for the next legislative day on the date44 |

| 58 | 58 | | certain jointly specified by such officers. Following such reconvening, the General45 |
|---|
| 59 | 59 | | Assembly may provide by joint resolution for a new schedule for meetings and46 |
|---|
| 60 | 60 | | adjournments.47 |

| 61 | 61 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, as to any case of emergency or disaster resulting in the48 |

| 62 | 62 | | discontinuation of the schedule for meetings as authorized by this resolution, the adoption49 |

| 63 | 63 | | of this resolution by the General Assembly shall constitute the consent of both the House of50 |
|---|
| 64 | 64 | | Representatives and the Senate for purposes of Article III, Section IV, Paragraph I(b) of the51 |
