19 | 19 | | with the passing of Betty Camp Godwin on November 24, 2023; and3 |

20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Betty Camp Godwin was born on June 19, 1927, in Dallas, Georgia, a beloved4 |

21 | 21 | | daughter of Nicodemus and Joetta Brown Camp; and5 |

22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, a life-time resident of Marietta, she enjoyed a distinguished 38-year career as6 |

23 | 23 | | part of Lockheed Martin, where she served as production manager; and7 |

24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, she was further involved in state and local politics for many years as a longtime8 |

25 | 25 | | supporter of the Democratic Party and as a friend and advisor to many party chairs, including9 |

26 | 26 | | Guy Drexinger and David Wilkerson, as well as to Senator Steve Thompson, Congressman10 |

28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Betty Camp Godwin was blessed with three remarkable children, Ralph Jr.,12 |
