8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Lois Smith-Dixon was born on December 10, 1924, in Lovejoy, Georgia,2 |

9 | 9 | | and this year she enjoys the delightful distinction of celebrating her 99th birthday; and3 |

10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, the devotion, patience, and understanding she has demonstrated have provided4 |

11 | 11 | | the foundation of success from which her family members have developed and flourished,5 |

12 | 12 | | as evidenced by her six wonderful children, 18 outstanding grandchildren, 17 exceptional6 |
---|
13 | 13 | | great-grandchildren, and 17 remarkable great-great-grandchildren; and7 |

14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Lois Smith-Dixon has long been an integral part of her community's8 |

15 | 15 | | spiritual life, having joined fellowship with Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the early 1950s9 |

16 | 16 | | under the leadership of the late Rev. H. M. Alexander; and10 |

17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, her dedication to her faith and her service within the church community has11 |

18 | 18 | | been marked by unwavering commitment, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to the12 |

28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, she has witnessed a dramatic change in the world over the course of her19 |

29 | 29 | | lifetime, and we salute her contribution to its progress through her tireless efforts on behalf20 |
