| 24 | 24 | | Chapter 3 of Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to state flag, seal,10 |

| 30 | 30 | | This article shall be known and may be cited as the 'Georgia Remember My Life Act.'14 |
|---|

| 32 | 32 | | (a) Subject to the availability of funds, there shall be placed within the capitol building or16 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | grounds a digital monument that displays a scrolling list of names of the Georgians whose17 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | deaths have been attributed to COVID-19.18 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | (b)(1) Such digital monument shall be designed, procured, placed, and maintained by the19 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Capitol Art Standards Commission, subject to final approval by a digital monument20 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | committee composed of the following members of the General Assembly:21 |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | (A) Two members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the22 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | House of Representatives;23 |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | (B) Two members of the Senate appointed by the Lieutenant Governor; and24 |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | (C) One member from each house of the General Assembly appointed by the25 |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | Governor.26 |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | (2) The digital monument committee established pursuant to this subsection shall stand27 |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | abolished upon placement of such monument.28 |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | (c) Family members shall submit to the Capitol Art Standards Commission the name of29 |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | the individual to be included on the digital monument. Such submission shall be30 |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | accompanied by an averment as to cause of such individual's death. The Capitol Art31 |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | Standards Commission shall retain and protect such records in accordance with state and32 |
|---|
| 49 | 49 | | federal laws on the privacy and confidentiality of such records.33 |
|---|
| 50 | 50 | | (d) No public funds shall be expended for the design or procurement of such digital34 |
|---|

| 56 | 56 | | (e) Such digital monument shall be procured and placed as soon as practicable but not38 |
|---|
| 57 | 57 | | before the state has been granted any intellectual property license necessary for purposes39 |
|---|
| 58 | 58 | | of this Code section."40 |
