1919 To amend Part 3 of Article 2 of Chapter 4 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Georgia

2222 violations; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.3
2323 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:4
2424 SECTION 1.5
2525 Part 3 of Article 2 of Chapter 4 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated,6
2626 relating to surface mining, is amended by revising Code Section 12-4-84, relating to criminal7
2727 penalties, as follows:8
2828 "12-4-84.9
2929 Any person who engages in surface mining in violation of this part or who willfully10
3030 misrepresents any fact in any matter required by this part or willfully gives false11
3131 information in any application or report required by this part shall be guilty of a12
3232 misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than $100.00 nor more13
3333 than $1,000.00
3434 $10,000.00 for each offense. Each day of noncompliance after notification14
