196 retirement benefits for state judges serving Fulton County, so as to permit the state court2
207 judges of Fulton County to participate in such county's defined contribution plan; to provide3
218 for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.4
229 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5
2310 SECTION 1.6
2411 Code Section 47-23-50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to retirement7
2512 benefits for state judges serving Fulton County, is amended as follows:8
2613 "47-23-50.9
2714 Any person who becomes a judge of the State Court of Fulton County on or after July 1,10
2815 2004, shall become a member of this retirement system by operation of law and shall not11
29-be a member of any other public retirement system; provided, however, that any such judge
30-12
16+be a member of any other public retirement system; provided, however, that any such judge12
3117 may participate in a county's defined contribution plan."13
3218 SECTION 2.14
3319 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.15
