A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Lawrence Prescott; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, a native of Guyana, South America, and a long-time resident of Atlanta,2
Georgia, Lawrence Prescott has significantly contributed to the entertainment industry and3
the Caribbean community in the United States for over 35 years; and4
WHEREAS, his extensive career encompasses roles as a producer, photographer, actor,5
cameraman, and production assistant in numerous media, theater, and film productions; and6
WHEREAS, he is founder and CEO of the Caribbean Life TV Group (CLTV), an influential7
online TV and radio network and production studio that serves as a pivotal platform for the8
Caribbean diaspora by sharing programming on lifestyles, cultures, and entertainment; and9
WHEREAS, under his leadership, the CLTV studio has flourished despite the challenges of10
the COVID-19 pandemic and grown into a renowned entertainment and production hub for11
films, TV shows, radio programs, and photography; and12
WHEREAS, his service on the board of the Jamaican American International Chamber of13
Commerce and his previous board memberships with the Caribbean Association of Georgia14

and the Guyana Association of Georgia stand as testaments to his dedication to fostering
15
business and cultural ties within the Caribbean community; and16
WHEREAS, he has earned recognition from the Caribbean Association of Georgia for his17
continuous sponsorship of their Annual Toy Drive as well as received an Outstanding18
Georgia Citizen award from the Georgia Secretary of State, the Spirit Award from the JAICC19
for strong community involvement, a 2023 Business Award from the Guyana Association20
of Georgia, and many more; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding individual be22
appropriately honored.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body recognize and commend Lawrence Prescott for his many25
remarkable career accomplishments as well as extend best wishes for continued health,26
happiness, and success.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to29
Lawrence Prescott.30
