| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 |

| 10 | 10 | | with the passing of Jeffrey Allen Duckworth, Sr., on December 13, 2023; and3 |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Allen Duckworth, Sr., was born on October 25, 1963, a beloved son of4 |

| 12 | 12 | | Alma Jean Duckworth and stepfather Albert May; and5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United6 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | States Marine Corps, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans serving7 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | four years as a field radio operator and also served five years in the Georgia Army National8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Guard; and9 |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, he received his formal education in the Washington County School System; and10 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, he worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for over 20 years; and11 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, he was Pastor of Kingdom Life Fellowship12 |

| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern18 |

| 29 | 29 | | for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his19 |

| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation21 |

| 34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, he will long be remembered for his love24 |
