A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Jeffrey Allen Duckworth, Sr.; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2
with the passing of Jeffrey Allen Duckworth, Sr., on December 13, 2023; and3
WHEREAS, Jeffrey Allen Duckworth, Sr., was born on October 25, 1963, a beloved son of4
Alma Jean Duckworth and stepfather Albert May; and5
WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United6
States Marine Corps, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans serving7
four years as a field radio operator and also served five years in the Georgia Army National8
Guard; and9
WHEREAS, he received his formal education in the Washington County School System; and10
WHEREAS, he worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for over 20 years; and11
WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, he was Pastor of Kingdom Life Fellowship12
Ministries in East Dublin, Georgia; and13

WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Pamela Jackson, and was
14
blessed with eight remarkable children, Jeffrey, Brian, Patrick, Jordan, Ebony, Shameka,15
Ariel, and Colleen; and five wonderful grandchildren, Nova, Halo Brenasiah, Mya, and16
Nicholas; and17
WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern18
for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his19
family and friends were admired by others; and20
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation21
for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he22
made this world a better place in which to live; and23
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, he will long be remembered for his love24
of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great fortune of25
knowing him.26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Jeffrey Allen Duckworth,28
Sr., and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31
family of Jeffrey Allen Duckworth, Sr.32
