| 22 | 22 | | celebrate 179 years since the Dominican Republic succeeded in its fight against Haitian rule4 |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, as of 2023, there are approximately 90,000 Dominican Americans residing in6 |

| 25 | 25 | | the State of Georgia as well as 518 registered businesses owned by Dominican Americans;7 |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Dominican Americans work and serve in many professions and roles across the9 |

| 28 | 28 | | state, including as realtors, artists, doctors, nurses, and students at prestigious institutions10 |

| 29 | 29 | | such as the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and many others; and11 |

| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Dominican Americans are further represented in the National Baseball League12 |
