A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To amend Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to

elections and primaries generally, so as to provide that interfering with poll workers shall be2
punished as a misdemeanor; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for3
other purposes.4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5
SECTION 1.6
Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to elections and7
primaries generally, is amended by revising Code Section 21-2-569, relating to interfering8
with poll officers, as follows:9
"21-2-569.10
Any person, including any poll officer, who willfully prevents any poll officer from11
performing the duties imposed on him or her by this chapter shall be guilty of a felony
12
misdemeanor."13
SECTION 2.14
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.15
