| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Rusty Strawn is a born and raised Georgian with impeccable southern values3 |

| 12 | 12 | | from McDonough, Georgia. He spent his youth outdoors enjoying life through activities such4 |

| 13 | 13 | | as hunting, fishing, playing baseball, and riding his bike; and5 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Rusty Strawn has dedicated his life to golf, spending countless hours as a youth6 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | on the Green Valley golf course practicing to then play on the golf team at McDonough7 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Christian Academy; it was at the McDonough Christian Academy where Mr. Strawn8 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | achieved a state championship title his senior year; and9 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, in 1981, Rusty Strawn was named the Atlanta Junior Golf Association's player10 |

| 19 | 19 | | of the year; he completed several milestones as a college golf athlete at Alexander City11 |

| 20 | 20 | | Junior College. The team not only made it to the National Junior College Athletic12 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Association Championship but also finished as the runner up; Mr. Strawn then took his golf13 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | career to Georgia Southern University, where he held titles of team captain and was a14 |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, while balancing the needs of his company and family, Rusty Strawn found time21 |

| 33 | 33 | | to pursue golf; from the late 80s to the early 90s, he won the Georgia State Golf Association22 |

| 34 | 34 | | Mid-Amateur Championship as well as qualified for multiple United States Amateur23 |

| 35 | 35 | | Championships, Mid-Amateur Championships, and British Amateur Championships; and24 |

| 36 | 36 | | WHEREAS, in Rusty Strawn's late 40s, he began to prepare for senior golf, and by the age25 |

| 37 | 37 | | of 55, he was playing a full senior amateur tournament schedule. Since then, he has won26 |

| 38 | 38 | | over 15 national tournaments throughout the United States. His greatest accomplishment27 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | came in 2022 at the age of 59 when he won the United States Senior Amateur and the28 |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | Canadian Senior Amateur Championships in back-to-back tournaments. These wins give Mr.29 |

| 41 | 41 | | Strawn a ten-year exemption into the United States Senior Amateur, the Canadian Senior30 |

| 42 | 42 | | Amateur, and the British Senior Amateur; and31 |

| 43 | 43 | | WHEREAS, Rusty Strawn is a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of32 |

| 44 | 44 | | McDonough. Rusty Strawn also serves as chairman of the Board at United Community Bank33 |

| 45 | 45 | | in Southeast Atlanta; furthermore, Mr. Strawn achieved the distinguished Eagle Award at the34 |

| 46 | 46 | | young age of 18 and now serves as the president of the Flint River Council of Boy Scouts of35 |
