| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Kennesaw State University was established in 1963 as Kennesaw Junior3 |

| 10 | 10 | | College and later became Kennesaw College before attaining university status in 1996; it is4 |

| 11 | 11 | | accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and has grown to become5 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | one of the largest public universities in Georgia; and6 |

| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Southern Polytechnic State University was founded in 1948 and it stood as a7 |

| 14 | 14 | | beacon of technological education and innovation for 75 years, providing cutting-edge8 |

| 15 | 15 | | programs in engineering, architecture, computer science, and other applied sciences; and9 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Southern Polytechnic State University played a crucial role in preparing10 |

| 17 | 17 | | students for careers in technology, engineering, and industry, contributing to the workforce11 |

| 37 | 37 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28 |
